FWDJobs is a job board for forward-deployed engineering roles. This page explains what information the site handles. It is written to match what the site actually does; when the site changes, this page changes with it.
What the site collects
No accounts. There is no sign-in and no profile, so you never need to give us a name or an email address to use the site.
Newsletter. Subscribing to the newsletter is optional. The signup form belongs to the service that sends the emails: it receives the address you type, uses it only to send you the newsletter, and every email carries an unsubscribe link. If you subscribe and later want your address removed, unsubscribe from any email or contact us.
Apply clicks. When you press an “Apply” button you pass through a link on our domain before reaching the employer’s site. For each click we store the job’s identifier, the time, the page you came from, your browser’s user-agent string, and the country your request arrived from. These records do not contain a name, an account, or any identifier that links clicks to a person. We use them to understand which listings people find useful.
Analytics. We use analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what people search for. Analytics may set cookies or similar identifiers. Where the law requires it, analytics runs only after you agree through the notice at the bottom of the page, and you can change that choice at any time from the same notice. Analytics data reaches us in aggregate and does not identify you to us. Alongside it, a cookieless count of page views (the page, the referring site, the country and the kind of device) runs on every visit; it stores nothing on your device and carries no identifier, so it does not wait for the notice.
Service logs. Like every website, the infrastructure that serves this site keeps short-lived request logs, including the requesting address and the page requested, to run and protect the service.
Job postings
Listings are collected from the public careers pages of the companies shown. We store the posting’s title, description, location, dates, and the address of the original page. Postings belong to the companies that published them. A company that wants a listing corrected or removed can contact us and we will act on it promptly.
Links to other sites
Apply buttons and “original posting” links lead to employers’ own sites, which have their own privacy practices.
Your choices and rights
You can decline or withdraw analytics through the notice at the bottom of the page. Because we hold no account or profile for you, there is no personal record to access, correct or delete on request; if you believe we hold information about you, contact us and we will look into it and respond within the time the law allows.
Changes
We will update the date at the top of this page whenever it changes.
